CONTENT ALIGNMENT
The information on this page is described in greater detail
in Practice
to Achieve Technical Bulletin 1: Content Validity.
ALIGNMENT: P2A BLUEPRINTS
The P2A English-Language Arts blueprint and P2A Mathematics blueprint
are designed so that each P2A session meets or exceeds CAHSEE coverage
at every standard. When coverage is exceeded, supplemental items
are used to address different dimensions of the same CAHSEE standard.

ALIGNMENT: P2A ITEMS
While many test-preparation products make use of generic item banks
that only loosely match specific state standards, P2A uses only
high quality items written by CAHSEE writers specifically to the
CAHSEE standards. This ensures that:
- P2A items measure the same standards as CAHSEE items
- P2A items test CAHSEE content in the same ways as CAHSEE items
- P2A items are subjected to the same editorial standards as CAHSEE
items
- P2A items have the same range of difficulty as CAHSEE items
- P2A items have the same look and feel as CAHSEE items
